USING AR TO REWRITE HISTORY

Happy Finish partnered with BDDO New York and Color Of Change to create The Pedestal Project, an augmented reality experience powering racial justice. Color of Change’s Pedestal Project, is an augmented reality experience that lets you place statues of racial justice leaders where symbols of racism once stood.

HF worked with BBDO NY and fine artist Spencer Evans to develop 3 statue designs for Alicia Garza, Chelsea Miller and the late Rep. John Lewis. Having been provided with detailed sketches and art direction, our team of 3D artists sculpted and textured each of the statues delivering them as realtime, AR and VFX ready assets for the campaign.

The experience launched on the 1st February to coincide with Black History Month in the US.

The Pedestal Project was awarded two Gold Lions at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity for Experience & Activation and Mobile AR, and one Graphite Pencil at the D&AD Awards.
