1,500 entrants, 33 countries and 50,000 votes later – it was announced last week that we’ve won Gold in the category of Internet Video – Virtual Reality at this year’s Lovie Awards.

‘Venus Presenting Helen to Paris (With Townley Venus)’, the VR art experience we created for the Royal Academy in collaboration with renowned artist Yinka Shonibare, has been awarded best in Europe by an expert panel that included Stephen Fry and the ‘father of wi-fi’, Vic Hayes.

We had some very kind words from Nicolas Roope, Executive Chair of IADAS, on our win: “Happy Finish has excelled in its category, showing fantastic prowess in digital innovation and creativity.”

We also bagged ourselves a People’s Lovie Award, so a massive thanks goes out to all the members of the public who voted for us, as well as the wider judging panel and all those who worked on the project – we love winning awards for our work so this really means a lot.

We’re already looking forward to celebrating properly at the awards ceremony in November… stay tuned for tipsy trophy-hugging pics when the time comes.
