Edgy stills & cinemagraphs to coincide with Mexico’s annual ‘Day of the Dead’ celebrations
Just in time for the annual ‘Day of the Dead’, Jose Cuervo launched a campaign that celebrated Mexico’s biggest holiday and, of course, their greatest and oldest export – tequila!
Our retouch artist Nick Nedeljkovic collaborated with photographer Dirk Rees on these colourful promo images, capturing the essence of Mexican celebration. Another of our retouch artists, Alex Goodwin, produced two dynamic cinemagraphs for the campaign, fusing movement and colour.
Nick and Dirk then took the project one step further by creating a couple of personal project cinemagraphs too, this time with more movement and light trails representing the dancers’ souls.
Each element of the campaign effectively encapsulates the essence of the Mexican Day of the Dead traditions.
